The 2018 Adrian Stan British Team Championships took place this weekend, meaning all the clubs in Great Britain came along to the competition with their best Senior and Junior Teams to fight it out for the top spots – it was all very exciting!
It was BRONZE MEDALS for both our Junior and Senior Squad Teams, which was a fantastic result for all.
Senior Team
With the absence of some of our older more experienced gymnasts due to retirement or injury, Park Wrekin put up a great fight to place in the top 3.
Our senior Team was made up of Senior Gymnasts – Alice Kinsella (Commonwealth Medallist, GB Senior Squad member), Isla Warr (returning from injury), Laura Beasley (BG senior Squad Member returning from injury), Junior Gymnast, Isabella Wheeldon (English Squad Member) and Espoir Gymnast, Mia Evans (Welsh Squad Member).
The girls put up some fantastic performances, despite a few falls on some apparatus. Some of the most impressive came from Mia Evans, who at just 12 years old, competed against some of the country’s top GB Seniors such as Kelly Simm and the Downie Sisters. Alice and Izzie delivered some fantastic scores to help secure our club the Bronze Medal. It was great to see Laura and Isla return to competition after being injured – they are getting back into the game.

Junior Team
Our Non-Squad Junior Team was made up of Juniors – Tamzin Hughes and Kitty Scholes-Price – Espoirs – Annie Shaw and Gabriella Williams and Level 1 Gymnast Lauren Jones.
This was the most competitive field, with 22 Teams competing for the prestigious title. Once again the girls put up a great fight to hop up the rankings and take the Bronze Medal with some impressive scores, especially from the Espoirs on bars and beam.
Well done girls, we are very proud of this result.
Senior All – Around Gold
Alice Kinsella, was the highest scoring senior gymnast, winning GOLD All Around. This was not only a Team competition for Alice, but also a World Championship Trial to make the GB WAG Team and this was a great start.
Espoir All – Around Silver
Mia Evans won the SILVER medal in the Espoir and she also helped the Senior Team win BRONZE! Mia came 6th overall in the Squad Senior division. Very impressive result from her today!
Honourable Mentions
Honourable mentions go out to Espoirs, Annie Shaw and Gabby Williams who came 4th and 9th in the All- Around Non Squad Junior section. Annie took the top spot on beam and Gabs took the top spot on bars . Big well done!
