Alice Kinsella will compete at the 2018 Gymnastics World Cup in Birmingham Arena
Well done to our Senior Gymnast and BG National Squad member, Alice Kinsella who will be competing for Great Britain at the Gymnastics World Cup at Arena Birmingham on 22nd March 2018. Alice will take the place of Claudia Fragapane, who unfortunately suffered an Achilles injury last week, alongside Amy Tinkler. It’s an amazing opportunity to compete alongside some of the world’s best gymnasts in this prestigious gymnastics event – most likely to a sell out crowd. With the Commonwealth Games in April, this will be a brilliant opportunity for Alice to compete against some of the world’s best gymnasts before they jet off to compete on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Alice said: “I’m so excited to be competing at the Gymnastics World Cup because it’s in my home town and I can’t wait to compete in front of everyone. I live and grew up in Sutton Coldfield so it’s a great opportunity for me to be able to perform in front of my friends and family. The Gymnastics World Cup is a huge event and the perfect competition for me to experience before the Commonwealth Games, to have the big arena and the home crowd cheering me on will be an amazing feeling”.
Alice will join Amy Tinkler, James Hall and Dom Cunningham for the Great Britain Team. We wish Claudia Fragapane a very speedy recovery and hope to see her back soon.
