Park Wrekin’s senior GB Squad member, Alice Kinsella won the BRONZE medal in the women’s all-around event at the 2018 Gymnastics World Cup in her home town of Birmingham. Second year senior, Alice Kinsella scored a total of 53.099 over all 4 pieces to secure 3rd place in front of an electrifying, packed home crowd.
Alice said, “I was just hoping to get the experience for the Commonwealth Games but to come here and get a medal; I don’t know what to say really. The crowd was amazing. They helped me through all of my routines, especially on floor.
Going on to beam, I wasn’t actually that nervous, I was just thinking about what I needed to do and to do it the same as I do in training. The experiences I’ve had over the last year or so helped me to come out today and do my best and get the medal. My confidence is definitely better after this and I can’t wait to get out there now (to the Gold Coast for the Commonwealth Games)”
Alice jets of to the Gold Coast very soon, along with her coach Brett Ince, to compete in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia next month.
