Park Wrekin Gymnastics Club have had a fantastic 2019! Lets take a look back over some very memorable moments…

Head Coach, Christine Still is Honoured with the Frank Edmonds Trophy for over 40 years of dedication to Gymnastics.

Espoir Gymnast, Mia Evans becomes the 2019 Welsh Espoir Champion. Mia also took the Gold on Floor & Vault.

Our Beginners/Recreational/Preschool sections continue to grow – Park Wrekin is the biggest it’s ever been!

Espoir Gymnast Annie Shaw, becomes 2019 English Espoir Champion. Annie also takes the Silver on Beam and the Bronze on Vault.

Gabby Williams becomes the 2019 British Espoir Bar Champion!

Brett Ince, Head of Elite & Performance at Park Wrekin Gymnastics Club is awarded his certificate of status recognising him as a ‘Master Coach’. This is an incredible achievement!

Mia Evans represents Team Wales Internationally for the first time at the 2019 Youth Cup in Germany. Mia takes the All Around Silver Medal, as well as being placing 1st on Vault, 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Floor.

Gabby Williams  becomes the 2019 Home Nations Espoir Champion for Wales. She also takes the Apparatus Silver on Bars, and a Bronze on Vault.

GB Senior Squad member, Alice Kinsella is selected to compete in the 2019 European Championships for GB. Alice becomes the 2019 European Beam Champion, making history for Great Britain as the first Beam Individual Medallist ever.

Espoir Gymnast, Mia Evans is selected to join the GB Junior National Squad at just 12 years old, with Gabby Williams and Izzie Wheeldon as first and second reserves.

Anna Lewis, Chloe Child, Emma Rixom and coach, Josie Vaughan make history for Park Wrekin as the first Floor & Vault Gymnasts to step into Regional Grades and pass Regional Grade 4.

A fantastic 2019 Club Competition where our Beginner, Recreational, Advanced and Development Gymnasts took to the floor showcasing some fantastic routines on Floor & Vault.

Alice Kinsella Appears on Blue Peter to help launch the new 2019 Sports Badge

Fantastic competition at the Solihull & Birmingham Invitational Championships for Park Wrekin Floor & Vault Gymnasts.

Our amazing 2019 Summer Camps for Beginners, Recreational and Advanced Gymnasts! We had a fantastic 3 weeks.

Mia Evans and Isla Warr selected to compete for Wales and Scotland in the 2019 Northern European Championships! Mia Evans helps Team Wales take the Gold Medal.

2019 Adrian Stan British Team Championships! Our Seniors took the Silver Medal and our Juniors took the Bronze Medal! Mia Evans took the Gold Medal in the Espoir Division. Alice Kinsella took the Silver Medal in the Senior Division. Park Wrekin keeps it’s top 3 spot in Great Britain!

Alice Kinsella represents Team GB at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart! Alice helps GB Qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and the team place 6th in the World in the Team Final. Alice qualifies to compete in the World AA Final where she places 12th. Alice is first reserve for the World Beam Final and hits every Beam routine cleanly, increasing her score each time.

Park Wrekin’s, Jack Males helps Team West Midlands take the Silver Medal in the 2019 Club Level 4 National Finals.

Lara, Lucie and Lena make up 3 of the 4 members of the West Midlands Team competing in the 2019 Level 3 National Finals.

Our GymFusion Performance Squad showcased their talent at the 2019 Birmingham GymFusion, held at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Our piece was titled, ‘The World of Oz’.

Annie Shaw is selected to represent Team England in the 2019 Horizon Cup. Annie Shaw Helps the Junior Team England Team take the Silver Medal, she also takes the Individual Bronze medal.

Park Wrekin take the 2019 Sandra Clarke Senior Team Title, with lots of Individual titles won too.

Senior FIG Gymnast, Harriet Price Competes at the 2019 Senior Challenge Cup and places 6th All around in Great Britain.

Mia Evans competes for Great Britain for the first Time in the Massilia Ipen Competition in France, and the team took 4th place.

Fantastic 2019 West Midlands Regional Team Championships for Park Wrekin. Lots of medals and great performances showcased.

Olympic Hopes 2019! Mia Evans, Gabby Williams compete for Team Wales while Izzy Wheeldon and Tamzin Hughes compete for Team England. Team Wales take the Silver Medal behind China, and England claim 4th. Mia Evans becomes the Olympic Hopes Floor Champion 2019 representing Wales.

Fantastic Performances from our Boys Section at the 2019 George Finney Floor & Vault Championships. Lots of medals won and some great experience gained.

Our Beginners/Recreational and Preschool sections continue to grow building the club’s future for 2020 and into the next decade!
